David’s older brother Eliab didn’t believe in him. During war against the Philistines David took lunch to his soldier brothers. When he discovered a Philistine giant giving Israel’s army a hard time. David inquired what would be the prize for defeating him. Eliab quickly criticized David in 1 Samuel 17:28, “What are you doing here? With whom have you left those few sheep you take care of?” Eliab was saying, you are not qualified and your job of watching those few sheep isn’t as important as what I’m doing. Is there someone in your life who doesn’t believe in you? Do they downplay your importance and reject you as lower than them? It wasn’t Eliab that God had chosen for the giant tasks, it was David. God has a great calling and task for you to fulfill too. Don’t let the opinions of others derail you! David’s faithfulness to his supposed insignificant job of watching his father’s sheep is what God used to prepare him for what he was truly anointed for; to be king over all of Israel. This is pastor Roy Don’t let anyone think less of you because of your age, status, or job. God knows you have a great destiny and where you are is part of your journey to get to where God wants you to be. You are more than a conqueror!
