Strength in Unity: One Minute with Pastor Roy

If a small branch falls off of a tree, it’s easy to break. Two branches are more difficult to break, and finally many branches together don’t break easily. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says that “Two are better than one because they have better pay for their labor. If one falls, the other picks him up; but woe to the one who is alone; if he falls there is no one to pick him up.” It’s true that a person alone can be tempted and fall easily because it’s hard to be strong without help. Seek out friends and family in Christ for accountability and to strengthen each other. There really is strength in unity, that’s why Jesus never sent his disciples out alone to do his work. He sent them two by two in Mark ch. 6, then twelve, then 70 to do the His work. He also says that anything is possible when two agree. This is pastor Roy, it’s important to be part of a church, or a group of Christians to give strength to one another in the midst of battles and attacks of the enemy.  Don’t fight alone you are part of God’s army. You won’t fall when someone is helping you; you are more than a conqueror!
